Dr. Diane Best is an Assistant Professor and chair of JSU’s Hospitality/Culinary department. She has worked in the hospitality industry for over 15 years in a number of capacities.  She has been an executive chef, a catering company owner, as well as a food and beverage director for a large hotel chain.

She has worked for the National Restaurant Association and has contributed writings and instruction for their publications.  Dr. Best has taught Hotel & Restaurant Management for almost seven years at Central Arizona College before coming to JSU. She has degrees in Culinary Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration & Management, Higher Education and a Doctorate in Education/Organizational Leadership.
