The Speech-Language Pathology minor introduces students to the scientific and clinical foundations of the field. Through coursework in anatomy, language development, speech science, communication disorders, audiology, and other areas, students develop a broad understanding of human communication across the lifespan.

The minor is designed to complement a variety of undergraduate majors and can be especially valuable for students considering a future in speech-language pathology or related health and human-service professions. The minor requires 24 credit hours to complete.

For students who plan to pursue a career as a speech-language pathologist, the SLP minor can provide an undergraduate foundation for graduate study in speech-language pathology.
