My research is focused broadly on environmental monitoring. A big component of my research is focused on hydrology of high mountain systems and the corresponding natural hazards, which includes future lake formation, flood management under the influence of climate change. On the applied side, my research uses a combination of remote sensing, GIS, and field measurements to map and monitor changes in high-mountain systems. In academic environment, I have been continuously developing my teaching skills. This includes teaching Intro to GIS and Cartography, Intermediate GIS, Applied GIS, Intro to Physical Geography, GPS, remote sensing, and World Regional Geography courses.
Besides teaching, I acquired my practical knowledge in GIScience through a series of projects from Transportation Planning and Programming Division (TPP) at Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) and Institution for Government Innovation (IGI) at Texas State University.
