Financial Assistance Information for Current and Prospective Students

- Procedures and forms used to apply for assistance
- Criteria for Selecting Aid Recipients and Determining Award Amounts: Students who have a completed file are considered for financial aid. Financial Aid routinely generates a list of students that are eligible to be packaged for aid. Award amounts for Direct Loans are determined by the student’s grade level and remaining eligibility. Award amounts for federal grants are determined by the student’s remaining eligibility, enrolled credit hours, Expected Family Contribution, and cost of attendance, in addition to the federal requirements for grant eligibility.
Rights and Responsibilities of Students Receiving Financial Assistance
- Criteria for Continued Student Eligibility: All students receiving Title IV aid must complete a FAFSA each year and maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress. Students who do not meet Satisfactory Academic Progress standards have the option of filing an appeal. The standards and appeal process are defined within the policy.
