Dr. Charles “Cole” Woodard is an Assistant Professor of Management at Jacksonville State University. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration from Jacksonville University (Jacksonville, FL), a Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law (Jacksonville, FL), and both a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Marshall University (Huntington, WV). Before joining JSU, Dr. Woodard built a career in business, law, and entrepreneurship. He has worked as a consultant and has held leadership roles in operations, legal services, and marketing. These experiences shape his teaching, where he emphasizes real-world application, case studies, and interactive learning. His research focuses on workplace culture, leadership, and burnout, with particular interest in how organizations can support employee well-being while pursuing strategic goals. Outside the classroom, Dr. Woodard enjoys experimenting with new recipes and reading widely in both business and philosophy.
