Upon graduating from Saks High School in 2005, Amy A. Simon knew there was only one place where she wanted to pursue her collegiate education: Jacksonville State University. It was there that she earned both of her degrees, including her Bachelor of Science with Special Honors in Finance (Summa Cum Laude) in 2008 and her Master of Business Administration (Summa Cum Laude) in 2010.   After working in the banking sector for a year and a half, Mrs. Simon was blessed with the opportunity to return “home” to JSU as a Business Counselor for the University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in 2012. Three wonderful years later another great career path presented itself, which allowed her to transition into the role of a Research Analyst for JSU’s Center for Economic Development and Business Research (CEDBR) for four more amazing years at JSU.   Having completed additional post graduate coursework while working full-time at JSU, Mrs. Simon was asked to become an Adjunct Instructor of Finance in 2014. Since then, she has taught a myriad of courses focusing on Finance (FIN) and General Business (CBA). In 2019, Mrs. Simon was presented with the opportunity to fulfill her dream of becoming a full-time Instructor for JSU’s College of Business and Industry (CBI), where she focuses on CBA 115 – Business Fundamentals / Orientation and CBA 330 – Business Professionalism.  When not working as a JSU CBI Instructor, Amy A. Simon loves spending time at home with her young son, traveling the globe with her husband, binge watching Netflix / Prime, working in her yard, and playing with their furbaby.
