Dr. Collum is a Professor of Accounting in the College of Business and Industry at Jacksonville State University (JSU) where she primarily teaches accounting courses. She also serves as the faculty co-advisor of  Beta Alpha Psi, an international honors organization for financial information students and professionals, which focuses on professional development of students and strengthening relationships with the professional community. Dr. Collum began her career at JSU as an Accounting Instructor in August 2006. She was promoted to Assistant Professor in February 2014 after finishing her PhD at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She earned her B.S. in Accounting and Master of Accounting (MAcc) in Taxation degree from Florida State University.   Before starting her career in academia, Dr. Collum was an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers where she audited healthcare organizations. During her time in public accounting, she passed the CPA exam and became a licensed CPA in the state of Alabama.  Dr. Collum has published several articles in the area of healthcare governance, healthcare information technology, healthcare finance, and accounting. She has also served her department, school, and the university through various committees and other activities. She has also received several awards during her career at JSU including the Dean's Excellence in Service Award in 2018 and the Dean's Excellence in Teaching Award in 2008.
