Project Funding

The facility is a $32.5M, 101,000 square foot recreation center developed through a public private partnership (P3) with the JSU foundation. The JSU rec center will be the second higher education student recreation facility in the country ever built under a P3 structure. The project was designed to minimize costs to students and will be completed within the capital limits supported by a $190 per semester student fee. The recreation fee was supported by students and approved by the JSU Board of Trustees. The fee will be implemented when the facility opens in Spring 2019
