JSU Fall 2007 Graduation

 

Two of the top graduates of the Fall 2007 Class are Sharla Beth Hill, of Ohatchee, AL and Brittney Shae Young, of Anniston, AL.  They both graduate summa cum laude with a perfect 4.0 GPA.  Ms. Hill is receiving the Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Elementary Exercise Science and Wellness.    Ms. Young receives the Bachelor of Science in Education degree with a major in Elementary Education.   These distinguished graduates pose for a picture with JSU President Bill Meehan at Commencement.

Rachel Elise Hulsey, of Fruithurst, AL graduates summa cum laude with a perfect 4.0 GPA.  Ms. Hulsey received the Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice.  Dressed in the traditional ceremonial robes displaying the honors she has earned, she poses for a photo with President Bill Meehan at commencement.

JSU President, Dr. William A. Meehan, is pictured here with two faculty members who received Emeriti status in the College of Education and Professional Studies during the Fall 2007 graduation exercises.  Faculty members receiving this status are, from left to right, Aquilla Mims, who recently retired (June, 2007) as Professor of Special Education in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction; Dr. Meehan; and Karen Nemeth, who retired (May, 2007) as Instructor of Family and Consumer Sciences in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences.

Meehan, is pictured here with three faculty members who received Emeriti status in the College of Arts and Sciences during the Fall 2007 graduation exercises.  Faculty members receiving this status are, from left to right, Judith McKibbin, who recently retired (May, 2007) as Instructor of English in the Department of English; Charles Groover, who recently retired (May, 2007) as Department Head of the Art Department; Dr. Meehan;  and Mary Jane Peters, who retired (May, 2007) as Instructor of Computer Science in the Department of Mathematical, Computing and Information Sciences.
