Outstanding Alumni Awards were presented on Homecoming Day 2007 during half-time activities at Paul Snow Stadium. Recipients of this year's awards, from left, are Dr. Syble H. Brindley, of Oneonta, AL, Class of '64, 2007 Alumna of the Year; Timothy C. Tyson, of Newport Coast, California, Class of '76/'79, 2007 Alumnus of the Year; Sarah Ballard, JSU Alumni Association president; Kelly Brooks Friery, of Monroe, Louisiana (formerly of Jacksonville, AL), Class of 2001, 2007 Young Alumna of the Year; Dr. Sarah V. Latham, of Cedar Bluff, AL; 2007 Outstanding JSU Faculty Member of the Year; and COL Stephen K. West, Class of '78, 2007 Military Alumnus of the Year.
