Hear Fulbright Speaker on Sunday

The Jacksonville State University community is invited to a reception in honor of Dr. Said Mentak, Fulbright Visiting Specialist from Morocco, on Sunday, November 5, 2006, from 6:00-8:30 p.m. at the International House. This reception is JSU's official welcome to Dr. Mentak, who will be making various presentations to university and other community groups during his visit. Description of Event: Reception

Outstanding NODA Intern Award

Jacksonville State University's Emily Williams was awarded the 2006 Outstanding NODA Intern Award at the NODA (National Orientation Directors Association) Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Outstanding NODA Intern Award was announced at the closing banquet on October 31, 2006. Emily represents JSU, where she serves as the graduate assistant in the Office of Student Life. She was awarded with this honor for her outstanding work as NODA Intern at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where she was the intern for the Office of New Student Programs for the summer of 2006. The Outstanding NODA Intern Award recognizes a NODA intern who has demonstrated commitment to learning and professional development and service through the successful completion of a NODA Internship experience. This honorable award is announced at the annual NODA Conference each year.
