Quarter 'n' Up

Collections Begin

Gamecock fans proved to be generous Thursday night at Paul Snow Stadium as SGA President Mardracus Russell, pictured here with a Quarter 'n' Up collection bottle, circulated during the season opener to gather contributions to help victims of Hurricane Katrina. The Quarter 'n' Up project asks people to give quarters and other spare change through October 1, when the funds will be turned over to the American Red Cross. SGA officials and other volunteers will be collecting donations at various events throughout the campus and will have collection jars stationed at high-traffic points around campus. Donations may also be given at the SGA office in Montgomery Building.
