Academe Meeting Nov. 15
Academe will meet on Tuesday, November 15, 2005, at 3:15 p.m. in Room 1103C, Houston Cole Library. Dr. Teresa Reed, a member of JSU's English Department, will present a program, "The Ins and Outs of Medieval Medicine," which will highlight some of the more interesting aspects of medieval medicine, "including its Roman backgrounds and philosophical underpinnings." She will address how medieval medicine relates to morality, religion, and other aspects of society, instead of relying as heavily on scientific fact as modern medicine does. Other topics such as how medieval medicine affected gender roles will also be discussed.

All faculty, administrators, and others interested in hearing this program are invited to join us at Academe on Tuesday, the 15th.
