Dr. Prudlo to Speak Oct. 20

The Jacksonville State University Writers' Club and the History Club will host a lecture on the major interpretive, critical, and historical issues concerning early church history beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20,on the 11th floor of Houston Cole Library.

Dr. Donald Prudlo, the lecturer, holds a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia. He is an assistant professor of history at JSU and specializes in ancient and medieval history. His area of concentration is church history.

"I think it's a special honor to have Dr. Prudlo speak to us," said Jeff Kretzchmar, president of the History club.

The core topic will be the origin, content, and progress of church history from the ancient to the modern period.

Refreshments will be available at 6:30 p.m., and the lecture will begin at 7:00 p.m.
