Capital Campaign Update

22 September, 2004 — At President Meehan’s universitywide meeting held on August 30, faculty and staff were challenged to support the Capital Campaign with 100% participation.  Today we are happy to announce that the campaign office has received more than 113 pledges and one-time gifts totaling more than $198,500.   This is obviously a wonderful start to the campaign.

To those of you who have demonstrated your support and commitment toward advancing JSU, thank you very much.   For faculty and staff who have not had a chance to send in a pledge or gift, remember that we are hoping to complete the appeal by October 30.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the campaign, its projects, or how you can encourage your department to meet the 100 percent participation goal, please feel free to contact the campaign office at ext. 5605.   Remember, it’s not the amount of the contribution that is important; it’s the contribution itself that counts.
