Annual MDA Gus Edwards Classic 2004 Sept. 11

25 August 2004 — Since 1999 Kappa Alpha Order at Jacksonville State University has been supporting our national philanthropy, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, through an annual golf tournament entitled the Gus Edwards Classic, which is a Four Man Team Scramble with a shotgun start beginning at 1 p.m.  Each person must pay a $50 entry fee which will ultimately be donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  With your $50 entry fee will receive a Free Gus Edwards Classic T-Shirt, a Complimentary Cart, a Buffet Lunch that will be provided before the event at 11:30 a.m., Practice before the event with Complimentary Range Balls, Opportunities to win cash prizes or even a new car!

This year the event will be held at Cane Creek Golf Course in Anniston, Alabama on September 11, 2004.  We have high hopes that this year could be the biggest donation to the Muscular Dystrophy Association that Kappa Alpha Order has ever given.  We have various sponsors from all over Calhoun county and neighboring counties including Ron Newton who has donated a Hole-in-One car prize.  We will also have door prizes and a 50/50 cash prize pot, which the winner will receive half of the cash prize money and the other half will be given as a donation to MDA.  Registration begins at 11a.m. with a Buffet Lunch beginning at 11:30 a.m. for all players and the four-man scramble shotgun start beginning at 1 p.m.   For more information contact Matt James at 256-782-6722 or Chris Cook at 256-782-6720 or fill out the form below and mail it in.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association and the gentlemen of Kappa Alpha Order are extremely pleased with the turnout we have had in the past 4 years and the generous donations from businesses and individuals from across the nation.  For that reason, we are even more excited about the prospects for 2004.  With your help and donation to the Muscular Dystrophy Association we can make this year the biggest donation to MDA we have ever given.
