Mandatory Meeting for Spring 2005 Student Teachers Sept. 9


August 12, 2004 -- A message from Ashley Wheeler, Coordinator for Clinical Experiences, for students planning to student teach during Spring Semester 2005:

Are you planning to student teach during the Spring 2005 semester? If so, there is a MANDATORY pre-orientation meeting on Thursday, September 9, 2004 at the TMB Auditorium. All undergrads & grads need to attend. You may choose which of the two times to attend: 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. OR 3:15 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.

We will go over the application process and procedures. Applications will be given out AT the meeting. Please bring paper and pen for note taking, and arrive on time. Come with your questions ready! I look forward to meeting with you all.

In the event that you have a class conflict please contact me to schedule an appointment.

If you want to get a jump start on getting your application ready before you even get it, please go ahead and get an appointment scheduled to meet with your assigned academic advisor (at any time that will be after the meeting you choose to attend on Sept. 9) so that once you get your application, they can make sure you are eligible and can sign off on it for you. That will definitely speed things up. There will be about 200 of you needing to be advised immediately following the meetings on Sept. 9, so try and get yours scheduled as soon as you can.
