October 24, 2003 --
Take a driving/hiking tour of the Shoal Creek Ranger District and discover
unique areas that are rarely seen by the public. Learn about the ecology
and geology of the national forest as the flora and fauna changes from the
bottomlands to the ridge tips. The district archaeologist will also
highlight the colorful cultural heritage of the area. Bring a lunch,
water, field guides, and a camera to explore the breathtaking scenery of autumn
in the forest. Pre-registration is required.
JSU's Little River Canyon Field School is now accepting reservations for
