Fall Family Day/ Preview Day |

JACKSONVILLE -- September 19, 2002 -- Jacksonville State University will host its annual Fall Family Day/ Preview
Day on Saturday, October 12. The daylong event will be packed with food,
fun and entertainment and culminate in an exciting football game between
JSU's own Gamecocks and the Sam Houston State Bear Cats. Pre-game events will run from 10:30 to 1:30 on Gamecock Field. It will include a moonwalk, prizes, face painting, "Funny Fotos," and a caricature artist. From 11:30 to 12:30, there will be special performances by the JSU Pep Band, the Marching Southerners, the Ballerinas, the Jazz Ensemble, and of course, Cocky. From 10:30 to 12:30, campus tours will be departing regularly from Stephenson Hall. Inside Stephenson, there will be an Academic and Organizational Browse session. The Hammond Hall Art Gallery will be open from 10:30 to 1:30 with an exhibit by David Cummings. Lunch will be served on Gamecock Field from 11:30 to 1:00 costing $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. Kickoff for the football game is 2:00 p.m. at Paul Snow Stadium. |
