JACKSONVILLE -- September 4, 2002 --
The televised debate between Third Congressional District candidates Mike Rogers and Joe Turnham will be rebroadcast on WJXS TV24 at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 5th; 8 p.m., Friday, September 6th; and 5 p.m., Sunday, September 8th.
Jacksonville State University, along with The Anniston Star and TV-24 hosted the event, which
featured the Republican and Democratic candidates vying for the seat being vacated by gubernatorial
candidate Bob Riley.
The candidates discussed issues such as social security, healthcare, the BRAC list and the chemical
weapons incinerator.
