JSU To Hold September 11th "Day of Remembrance" Memorial Program |
JACKSONVILLE -- August 22, 2002 --
Jacksonville State University will hold a September 11th "Day of Remembrance" in memory of those
who lost their lives or loved ones in the terrorist attacks on America last year. President Bill Meehan has approved the dismissal of 8:45 AM classes that Wednesday so faculty, staff and students will be able to attend the program. The event will be held at 8:30 AM in front of Bibb Graves Hall. Participants will assemble near the flag poles in front of Bibb Graves and then will be directed to join in a silent procession around Trustee Circle, with participants returning to the flagpole area for an observance program. Scheduled speakers include President Meehan, SGA President Robert Hayes, and Jacksonville Mayor Jerry Smith. For more information, please call Dr. Alice Cusimano at 782-5020. |
