JACKSONVILLE -- November 9, 2001 --
The exciting JSU Gospel Choir will be in Concert on Sunday, November 18,
2001 at
6:00 p.m. in the Leone Cole Auditorium. This fall's Concert is called,
"Hallelujah Praise Party II" and will feature music written and/or arranged by
the Director, Dr. Myrtice Collins. There are other original songs written by
students that will be performed also.
Currently, the choir is working on their
first CD and the recording session has been planned for December. Most
recently, the choir performed at the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville,
Alabama for a memorial service for Maj. Dwayne Williams. The choir has been
invited to perform in Las Vegas, Nevada for a second time by Dr. Bobby
Jones of
BET.
See you at the Concert. Bring your tambourine and your shoutin' shoes. Special guests include Etowah Live and Interchange Chorale.
