NSF Awards JSU $400,000 |
JACKSONVILLE -- Sept. 28, 2001 --
The National Science Foundation (NSF)
awarded a $400,000 scholarship grant to Jacksonville State University for
the support of the Enhanced Mathematics, Computer and Engineering
Technology Scholarship (EMCETS) project. The project involves selecting, supporting and mentoring 29 academically talented, low-income students majoring in mathematics, computer science or eligible fields of engineering technology. Principal investigators of the project are Dr. Guillermo A. Francia III, Dr. Fred Kelley, Mr. Terry Marbut, Dr. Rebecca Turner, and Ms. Vivian Brown.
