A typographical
error resulted in Sen. Del Marsh's name being rendered as "Dale"
in President Meehan's recent letter updating faculty and staff
about the Legislature's proposed action on healthcare costs. Please address
the senator by his correct name, Del, in any written communications.

Army
Band to Perform Feb. 21
The
392nd Army Band
from Fort Lee, Virginia, will perform at Jacksonville State University at
7:30 p.m. Saturday, February 21. Sponsored by the David L. Walters Department
of Music, the concert will be held in the Mason Hall Performance Center and
is free to the public. Under the command of CW4 William Horton, the Band is
comprised of soldier musicians from around the country. The Band is on a spring
tour that will take it to New Orleans, LA for the annual Mardi Gras festival
and parade. At JSU their program will include a variety of selections from
standard band classics to popular music favorites. There will be music to
appeal to all members of the family. Mason Hall is on Trustee Circle and parking
is conveniently located. The Performance Center is located on the top floor
of Mason Hall. For further information, call 782-5559.
Jazz Band I Concert
Feb. 25
Jazz Big Band I will have its first Spring Concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday February
25 in the Performance Center of Mason Hall. The group, directed by Dr. Chip
Crotts, will be playing music from such great artists as Rob McConnell, Thad
Jones, Don Menza and Buddy Rich. The concert is free and open to the general
public.
