Advanced Content Blackboard Training Workshop

The Office of Distance Education is offering the first Advanced Content Blackboard Training Workshop of the semester for faculty, staff, and administrators. This workshop is intended to build on the introductory training session, Basic Content & Navigation.

Goals of this workshop include:
  • Mastering advanced content addition (Course Links, Learning Units, advanced Visual Text Editor tools, and Glossary)

  • Course Design including menu modification and availability (including adding new content areas specific to your course)

  • Student/instructor file exchange and tracking tools (Assignment Manager) and item and content/student access tracking functions

  • Review of tools available for electronic grading of students� assignments
There is no fee for this workshop, and it is open to faculty, staff, and administrators who may be interested in using the Blackboard platform, who need a refresher with any of the topics described above, or who would like to learn about the many valuable features available in Blackboard.

The workshop will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. CST in the Instructional Technology Design Lab, Room 174 Self Hall. Further information about this workshop will be provided upon registration. To register for this workshop, please send an e-mail to Misty Cobb (mcobb@jsu.edu) with "Enroll in Advanced Content Bb Workshop" in the subject line. Please be sure to include your first and last name in the body of the e-mail.

Please submit your request by no later than Monday, February 5, 2007 at noon. You will receive a confirmation e-mail that you have been enrolled into the workshop with additional information prior to the day of the training.
