The Jacksonville State University’s Office of Student Life, in accordance with their strong commitment to leadership development, will sponsor five delegates to the upcoming LeaderShape Institute. The dates for the 2006 Alabama LeaderShape Institute have been set for May 29-June 3, 2006 at Camp Sumatanga.

“The incredible effects of last year's Institute have greatly impacted student life on our campus as well,” said Ms. Emily Williams, Graduate Assistant in the Office of Student Life. “The remarkable responses of the previous JSU Delegations have encouraged our continued support of the program.”

The mission of LeaderShape is to offer the highest quality state-of-the-art leadership programs to students and to be a catalyst in improving the quality of organizations and environments at universities across America. The Institute is an interactive, energizing, and unique experience seeking to develop skills that no other program can rival.

JSU is committed to investing in our students the understanding that they will enrich the campus community with the fresh, new ideas, information, and abilities they acquire at the conference.

Applications are now available in the student life office and are due, along with two letters of reference, on Friday, March 31, 2006 by 4:30 p.m.

“Do not miss out on this amazing learning experience,” said Williams. “I encourage you to maximize the potential of the membership in your organization and apply for inclusion in the 2006 LeaderShape Institute.”
