1934: JSTC Celebrates Semi-Centennial

This brittle Anniston Star from Aug. 9, 1934, was entirely devoted to JSU's 50th birthday celebration. Here are just a few images of the personalities and stories of the day. From this edition we see that the university employed a "matron" as well as a chiropractor and that phone numbers had only three digits. The university boasted about its large faculty -- all 44.
