Film Involving JSU Alumnus Wins Awards 

The work of Jacksonville State University alumnus Jose Alba was recently recognized by the Manila Film Festival for Panaghoy sa Suba, or The Call of the River. It has English subtitles and won in the category “Cinema of the World.” The film is nominated for a Cannes Film Festival award.
 
Another film that Mr. Alba is involved with, Another Deep Breath, is in pre-production. Projected shooting date is June or July.
