Deadlines Approach for Phi Kappa Phi Study Abroad Scholarships and Graduate Fellowships

10 January, 2005 — The JSU Chapter of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society urges interested and qualified JSU students to consider applying for the following:

  • Phi Kappa Phi Undergraduate Study Abroad Grants: The competition for these grants is open to all qualified undergraduate students at JSU, whether or not they are members of Phi Kappa Phi. Students may apply through the JSU Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi, or they may apply independently. The application deadline is January 15, so interested students are urged to contact a chapter officer immediately for advice and help! Applicants must have a minimum academic grade point average of 3.5, a minimum of 56 but no more than 90 hours of academic credit as of the application deadline, and must be accepted into a study abroad program at the time of application.

  • Phi Kappa Phi Graduate Fellowships: Applicants must be active members of Phi Kappa Phi by the end of the Spring 2005 semester (but not necessarily at the time of application; students who are expected to gain membership by the end of the semester are eligible to apply during that semester). Students must apply through the JSU Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi, which must select one and only one JSU applicant for a fellowship! The application deadline is February 1. These grants are for the support of first-year graduate or professional study. Applicants must have applied to enroll as full-time students in their first year of a post-baccalaureate program of study for the following academic year.
