Rick Bragg to Speak at JSU |

By Sherry Kughn JSU News Bureau January 21, 2004 -- Pulitzer Prize-winning author Rick Bragg of Jacksonville will address the JSU Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists on Thursday, Jan. 29. Bragg will speak at 6 p.m. on the 11th floor of the Houston Cole Library. The public is invited. Bragg is currently working on his fourth book of creative non-fiction. It will feature a story about how the closing of the mill village and the demise of the textile industry in Calhoun County changed the lives of its employees and residents of the county. Bragg’s other three books are: All Over But The Shoutin’, Ava’s Man, and I’m a Soldier, Too: The Jessica Lynch Story. Another book, Somebody Told Me, is a compilation of his news stories working as a news journalist. |
