JACKSONVILLE -- June 10, 2002 --
Dr. Mark Fagan has been named head of the Department of Sociology and Social Work at
Jacksonville State University.
Dr. Fagan, who has taught at JSU since 1981, got his Bachelor’s of Arts at JSU, majoring in
psychology and minoring in economics. He earned his Master’s of Social Work and his
Doctorate of Social Work at the University of Alabama. Fagan’s primary area of research is in
the economic impact of retirees. He has already started working in his new position.
