JSU's Taste of the Town Dinner Theater
Kicks off 2002 Summer Season
on July 4

JACKSONVILLE -- May 20, 2002 -- Jacksonville State University’s Taste of the Town Dinner Theater returns to the Leone Cole auditorium with fun-filled comedy and flavor-filled food this July.

A female version of Neil Simon’s “The Odd Couple” will kick off the summer with performances running July 4-6 and 11-14. “Barefoot in the Park,” also written by Simon, will follow--running July 18-20 and 25-28.

Dr. Carlton Ward, head of the JSU Drama department, expects to have the seats filled for the dinner theater which returns after a one-year forced hiatus due to proration.

The Odd Couple” will add a feminine twist on the classic favorite. Instead of the messy Oscar and the obsessive Felix and their poker playing guy pals, the audience will meet Olive and Florence who play Trivial Pursuit with their gal pals.

In “Barefoot in the Park,” newlyweds Paul and Corie return from their honeymoon to find out what happens when the honeymoon ends and married life begins.

Paid reservations are required for the dinner theater. Tickets are $25.00 and group rates are available for parties of 24 or more. Mastercard and Visa are accepted as well as personal checks and money orders. For reservations or information, call (256) 782-56-48.
