Fourth Annual Sporting Clays
Fun Shoot on April 13


JACKSONVILLE -- April 1, 2002 -- Jacksonville State University will hold its fourth annual Sporting Clays Fun Shoot on Saturday, April 13 at Selwood Farm in Alpine.

The Fun Shoot was initiated in 1999 by the JSU Foundation as a fundraising activity. The money raised supports the unrestricted portion of the annual fund in order to further educational opportunities at JSU.

Entry fees are $100.00 for individual shooters and $1,000.00 for corporate teams of five. This entry fee includes 100 targets,a catered lunch, door prizes, and a commemorative cap. Shotgun shells are not included.

Shotgun shells are limited to 3-1/4 drams equivalent with a maximum of 1-1/8 ounces of shot, 7-1/2, 8 or 9 shot only. Shells are available for purchase on site, but please bring your own shotgun.

Trophies will be awarded three deep in five classes A-E. This Lewis Class System allows participants to compete with shooters of similar skill level.

On the day of the shoot, registration will be 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. The shoot will be from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon. Lunch and awards ceremony will be from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m.
