JSU To Host Ceramics Art Display |
JACKSONVILLE -- February 25, 2002 --
Jacksonville State University will be hosting a Ceramics Art display in the
"Alabama Clay Conference 17 Invitational Exhibition." The exhibition was curated by Steve Loucks, Associate Professor of Art at Jacksonville State University. The artists were selected to show a broad range of the issues or expressions common in contemporary ceramics. These issues vary from utilitarian pottery to non-representational sculpture. The exhibition will take place in the Hammond Hall Gallery from March 5 - 22, 2002. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The exhibition is free and open for all to come. There will also be an opening reception on March 5 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. There will also be a gallery talk by Associate Professor Steve Loucks, March 6 at 10:00 in the Hammond Hall Gallery.
