JACKSONVILLE -- January 18, 2002 --
Jacksonville State University's Environmental Policy and Information
Center will host the 2002 Regional EnviroBowl Competition on January 23,
2002. The event, sponsored by Legacy, Inc. Partners in Environmental
Education, tests the environmental knowledge of Alabama's high school
students. Teams battle by answering questions on topics such as air
quality, chemistry, ecology, forestry, geology, physics, pollution,
water quality, and wildlife.
Jacksonville State University invites the
community to attend and support the seven competing teams from this
region: Anniston High School, Ashville High School, Southside High
School, Hokes Bluff High School, Hanceville high School, Springville
High School, and Sardis High School.
EnviroBowl will begin at 8:30 a.m.
on January 23rd in Martin Hall on the Jacksonville State University
