Jamie M. Eubanks JSU News Bureau JACKSONVILLE -- January 30, 2001 -- Freshman orientation at Jacksonville State University is vital. This is where new Gamecocks get their college careers off to a great start. JSU has set its freshman orientation dates for this summer: Session A July 23-24 Session B July 26-27 Session C July 30-31 Transfer Session July 31 (evening) Session D August 2-3 Session E August 6-7 Make-up Session August 27 Orientation provides information and assistance to new students and their families so they may succeed. New students are encouraged at orientation to utilize their peer counselors who can share their own experiences as a source of support and information. The orientation experience also allows news students to meet each other and interact in small group settings to develop new relationships.
