Campus Closed for Remainder of Friday

The JSU campus is closed for the remainder of Friday, Dec. 8. Here's the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions the university is receiving: 

Final Exams - Remaining finals will be rescheduled for Monday at the same times and locations they were supposed to be held Friday. 
 
Housing - Housing will remain open until at least 2 p.m. on Saturday for residents. Residents who need to remain in their rooms until their finals on Monday are allowed to do so. Free emergency housing options are also available for non-resident students stranded on campus. The Housing Office is closing soon. If you are a female student in need of housing go to Fitz Hall, if you are a male go to Crow Hall.
 
Dining - The Jack Hopper Dining Hall will be open until 2 p.m. for lunch today and 4-6 p.m. for dinner tonight. On Saturday, it will be open 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meal plans will continue to work. If you are student stranded on campus in need of a meal and can't afford to pay, go ahead and go to the cafeteria and you will be offered food.
 
Bookstore - The campus bookstore will be open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. No penalty for turning in rentals on Monday. If you are a graduating senior who was scheduled to pick up a cap and gown preorder today you can do so on Monday.
 
ACT - The Dec. 9 ACT exam will be rescheduled. Check www.actstudent.org for rescheduled dates when announced.
 
Basketball Game - Saturday's basketball game versus the University of Louisiana Monroe has been rescheduled to Saturday at 1 p.m. Admission will be free, so students remaining on campus are welcome to come have fun cheering on the Gamecocks.
