HOMECOMING 2017 SCHEDULE: 

September 28

  • 4:30 p.m. - Homecoming King and Queen Applications Due to the Dean of Students Office

October 11

  • 7 p.m. - Homecoming Showcase - The top ten Homecoming King and Queen candidates will be selected. Theron Montgomery Building Auditorium. 

October 23

  • 6 p.m. - Meet and Greet the Homecoming Candidates - Get to know the Top 10 candidates for Homecoming King and Queen and learn more about their philanthropic platforms. Theron Montgomery Building Auditorium. 

October 24

  • Midnight to 4 p.m. - Vote online for Homecoming King and Queen
  • 4:30-7 p.m. - Harvest Festival - Families are invited to bring their children to trick or treat the quad

October 25

  • SGA Spirit Night at the JSU Volleyball Game vs Tennessee Tech, 7 p.m., Pete Mathews Coliseum 

October 26

  • 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. - Library Tailgate - Enjoy food, games and the chance to win prizes while learning about all the great resources available at Houston Cole Library. This free event is open to all and will take place on the front porch surrounding the library. 
  • 2-6 p.m. - J-Day - Come out to the Theron Montgomery Building Lawn for this field day of relay races, music and free food
  • 8 p.m. - Homecoming Pep Rally - Join us as we crown the 2017 Homecoming King and Queen. Burgess-Snow Field at JSU Stadium.

October 27

  • 12-4 p.m. - SGA hosts Bongo Ball and Shirt Swap
  • 12 p.m. - Class of 1967 50-Year Golden Gamecock Reunion. Houston Cole Library.
  • 5 p.m. - 60s Group Annual Reunion. Zoe’s on the Lake.
  • 6 p.m. - ROTC Alumni Banquet. Houston Cole Library.
  • 7 p.m. - JSU Volleyball vs. UT Martin with alumni recognition celebrating 40 years of the program. Pete Mathews Coliseum.
  • 7 p.m. - Daze of Kaos Party, a special Homecoming celebration hosted by the NPHC Greek organizations, Leone Cole Auditorium. Tickets are $5 in advance or $10 at the door.  
  • 7:30 p.m. - JSU Drama presents, "An Enemy of the People," Stone Center

October 28

  • 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. - Student Tailgate featuring live music. Dillon Field.
  • 8 a.m. - 1955 Refrigerator Bowl Team Breakfast. Alumni House.
  • 8 a.m. - Gamecock Gallop 5K 
  • 9 a.m. - Alumni Association General (Open) Meeting. Theron Montgomery Building Auditorium.
  • 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Alumni Open House. Alumni House.
  • 10:30 a.m. - Homecoming Parade
  • Delta Tau Chi 40th Anniversary Celebration
  • 11:30 a.m. - JSU Volleyball Alumni Tailgate
  • 12 p.m. - 1992 Football Team 25th Anniversary Reunion
  • 12-1 p.m. - Departmental Open Houses: Communication Dept., Self Hall; School of Business and Industry, Merrill Building.
  • 12-2 p.m. - Cocky’s BBQ and Brew Fest, Alumni House. Purchase tickets online at www.jsu.edu/giving
  • 3 p.m. - Gamecock Football vs. Southeast Missouri, with a halftime presentation of Alumni of Year and Homecoming Court winners
  • 7:30pm - JSU Drama presents, “An Enemy of the People,” Stone Center
