Homecoming Court Candidates 2016

The Top 10 Homecoming King and Queen 2016 candidates were selected at the Homecoming Showcase on Oct. 12. For the first time, contestants were required to choose and support a philanthropic platform. Those elected Homecoming Queen and King will be required to host an event to benefit the philanthropy of their choice.

Online voting takes place on Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 12:01 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Top 5 female and male candidates will be notified and announced Tuesday after the poll closes. The 2016 JSU Homecoming King and Queen will be announced at the Homecoming Pep Rally on Thursday, Oct. 27, at 8 p.m.

HOMECOMING QUEEN CANDIDATES

  • Malin Barber, a junior majoring in dietetics from Ragland, Ala. Philanthropy: Health is Wealth. 
  • Rebekah Beasley, a sophomore majoring in pre-health biology from Attalla, Ala. Philanthropy: Be Con-fi-dental.
  • Claire Davis, a sophomore majoring in exercise science from Clifton, Tenn. Philanthropy: Organ Donation. 
  • Kendal Garrett, a senior English major from Piedmont, Ala. Philanthropy: Dream Big, Princess.
  • Breanna Lucas, a junior nursing major from Springville, Ala. Philanthropy: Ronald McDonald House.
  • Elsie Ritchie, a junior majoring in communications from Oneonta, Ala. Philanthropy: End Child Hunger.
  • Adriana Smolik, a junior majoring in pre-health biology from Guntersville, Ala. Philanthropy: Alabama Baptist Children's Homes and Family Ministries.
  • Nicki Arnold Swindle, a senior social work major from Heflin, Ala. Philanthropy: SAINTS.
  • Ashley Toney, a senior majoring in secondary English education, from Saks, Ala. Philanthropy: American Macular Degeneration Foundation. 
  • Taylor West, a sophomore majoring in social work, from Daphne, Ala. Philanthropy: Literacy.
