Emergency Management Students Win International Award

The JSU chapter of the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) has been named the Student Chapter of the Year for 2016. The organization is headed up by the following student leaders, who will be traveling to the IAEM conference in Savannah, Ga. this fall to receive the prestigious award:
- Simran Singh, President, an Emergency Management doctoral student
- Lauren Blackmon, Vice President, an Emergency Management master's student
- Judith Weshinskey-Price, Secretary, an Emergency Management doctoral student
A number of other students serve in various support roles and have worked exceptionally hard to build the club into an organization that serves all emergency management students at JSU. Dr. Tanveer Islam serves as faculty advisor.
