Power Restored to Stephenson Hall

Power has been restored to Stephenson Hall. It will resume normal operating hours on Monday, July 18.
 
Stephenson Hall Closed Until July 18

Stephenson Hall lost power on the evening of July 14, due to a lightning strike that occurred during a passing storm. The building will be closed for repairs Friday, July 15. It is expected to resume normal operations on Monday, July 18.
 
JSU Trustees Approve Tuition Increase Effective Spring 2017

At its quarterly meeting on July 18, the Jacksonville State University Board of Trustees approved a proposal to increase tuition 3 percent for both undergraduate and graduate students with a corresponding offsetting reduction in tuition for online courses, effective Spring 2017.

History Professor Awarded JSU’s Third Fulbright for 2016

Distinguished Professor of History at Jacksonville State University, Dr. Russel Lemmons, has been named a Fulbright Scholar by the U.S. Department of State. He joins Guillermo Francia and Ellen Peck in becoming the third JSU faculty member awarded a Fulbright this year. It is one of the most prestigious honors one can achieve in academia.
