Kevin McFry Named JSU Controller

Kevin McFry has been selected as the university's new controller, effective June 15. The controller is responsible for safeguarding university assets, recording and reporting financial information, and providing financial services to students and employees. McFry joined the JSU staff in September 1998 and served as bursar and financial systems manager before moving into the assistant controller's position in April 2006. He follows Allyson G. Barker who was named vice president of administrative and business affairs earlier this year. A Certified Public Accountant, McFry holds two degrees from JSU - a B.S. in accounting and a Masters in Business Administration. He is a member of various professional societies and has served as secretary/treasurer and president of the Alabama Association of College and University Business Officers.
