University Closed Due to Wintry Weather

Due to rapidly deteriorating road conditions in the area, Jacksonville State University will close immediately. All classes scheduled for this afternoon and evening are cancelled.

We anticipate further delays for tomorrow and will update this announcement as needed. 

Any weather statements relevant to JSU's operations-- including class cancellations/closures-- will be shared on the JSU website, via JSU E-Alert and email, through local print and broadcast media, and on the university's social media platforms.

All students, faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to enroll in the University's Emergency Alert System.
