Operation Beautiful: Transforming the Way You See Yourself One Post-it Note at a Time

09/24/2013

The JSU Peer Educators and 15 other student organizations are participating in the Operation Beautiful Campaign. The mission of Operation Beautiful is to post anonymous notes in public places for other people to find. The point is WE ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL.  You are enough…just the way you are!

Operation Beautiful founder, Caitlin Boyle, created the campaign to promote positive body image and to combat negative self-talk. She struggled with body image issues and negative self-talk and feels that self-esteem is a major issue for both men and women of all ages.  The campaign has been featured on the Oprah Winfrey Network and on the Today Show. Boyle wants people to stop believing the negative messages about themselves and see themselves as beautiful and unique creations. Operation Beautiful has become a worldwide movement and many of the messages have been featured on the Operation Beautiful website at http://www.operationbeautiful.com/.

Please join the following organizations in promoting positive self-image and look for the post-it notes around campus. Feel free to post your own note for someone to find and remember that we are all BEAUTIFUL!
