JSU Student Wins "Miss Congeniality" at Miss Alabama United States

Erica Paige Huddleston, a Jacksonville State University CEPS senior majoring in early childhood and elementary education, won "Miss Congeniality" at the 2013 Miss Alabama United States pageant. She represents her area as "Miss Etowah County." A native of Glencoe, Alabama, Erica is the daughter of Kim and Tom Huddleston. Miss Huddleston has participated in modeling and pageants from an early age. She maintains a 3.6 GPA and is regularly on the President's and Deans List. Miss Huddleston is a member of Pi Lambda Theta Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa, Phi Delta Kappa International Honor Society, Educator Association, and Who's Who Honor Society. Miss Huddleston hopes to be an inspirational teacher who can be effective in helping students achieve success in both academic and peer relationships.

"Majoring in elementary will allow me to be a strong inspiration to young people,” states Erica. “I want to set examples that will always guide them to strive for success with honor and integrity."

Miss Huddleston is looking forward to graduating on December 13, 2013 and proud to represent Jacksonville State University.
