Notice of Campus Traffic, Parking Change at Merrill Hall

As part of our continuing effort to increase the efficiency and safety of pedestrian and vehicular traffic around campus, the JSU Administration has approved the following change for Fall 2013.

Parking will be eliminated along Woodward Drive in front of Merrill Hall, and the one-way traffic on that street will be re-directed from a north-south direction to a south-north direction. This street will now be restricted to official vehicles and deliveries only.

Handicapped drop off in the front circle will still be allowed, however, the handicapped parking spaces currently located directly in front of Merrill Hall will be relocated to the northwest corner of the building. This will provide safe access to either the northwest entrance, or the front (ramped) entrance.

These changes are scheduled to go into effect on Monday, August 5, with all signage changes and parking designations posted and implemented before the first day of fall semester classes.
