JSU SGA Executive Officers to Attend American SGA Annual Conference July 11-12

07/09/2013

The JSU Student Government Association Executive Officers will depart Thursday for the American Student Government Association’s yearly conference. They will be out of the office on Thursday and Friday, July 11-12 and will return to work on Monday, July 15.

The conference is held each year as a way for representatives of student governments at colleges and universities all across the nation to meet, share ideas, and network with student government professionals who can help bring fresh events, ideas, and activities back to their campus.

Representing JSU at the conference will be SGA President Jade Wagner, Vice President of Student Senate Brett Johnson, Vice President of Student Activities Kelsey Mann, Vice President of Organizational Affairs Ariel Tolson, SGA Chief Justice Torsten Dryden, SGA Director of Publicity Erika Warren, and SGA Advisor Debbie Taylor.

Each year, the newly elected SGA officers attend the retreat as representatives of Jacksonville State University. The SGA Executive Officers also use it as a time to plan and grow together as a team in preparation for the academic year.

If you have any questions or concerns for the SGA while they are away from their office this week or at any time, students can email them at their email address that is posted on the SGA website (www.jsu.edu/studentlife/sga) and on their office doors.
