JSU SBDC, Anniston Army Depot to Host Business Opportunities Procurement Conference and Trade Fair

On Thursday, May 17, 2012, from 8:15 a.m. until noon, the Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) and the Jacksonville State University (JSU) Small Business Development Center (SBDC) are presenting the annual 2012 Business Opportunities Procurement Conference and Trade Fair in the Stephenson Hall Gym on the JSU campus in Jacksonville, Alabama.
Since ANAD is a closed military installation, companies are unable to freely introduce their firm and products to ANAD cardholders. This Trade Fair will allow firms to better advertise and market their products/services to government and private industry buyers. Small businesses interested in doing business with the government should attend. All buyers are invited to attend. Participating organizations will be displaying their products and distributing information about their company and product lines.
The 2012 Business Opportunities Procurement Conference and Trade Fair brings purchasing representatives and small businesses together in one place which saves time and effort in making contact with potential business partners. Buyers representing government, prime contractors, utility companies, and other entities will be in attendance.
Dr. William A. Meehan, JSU President; Mr. Michael Burke, Deputy to the Commander, ANAD; and Mr. William Cummins, State Director, Alabama Small Business Development Center Network will welcome exhibitors and attendees at the opening ceremony. Buyers will visit the small businesses throughout the morning. Four training sessions will be offered for those who are interested.
