International Undergraduate Freshman: (Click here for Checklist)

International Students who have completed Higher Secondary Education, has been conferred a High school diploma and have never attended college/university are considered as freshman for admissions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Complete Application form
  • Pay application fee of $35.00 online.
  • Submit official copy of high school transcript and diploma in issuing institution’s sealed envelope. JSU requires a minimum GPA of 2.0/4.0 (US grading scale). If credentials are in native language they must be translated by the institution itself or approved translation services.
  • Submit a copy of passport
  • Submit a copy of financial document (financial statement and letter) stating a balance of at least $30,500
  • Student must submit at least one of the standardized test score such as ACT/SAT/ TOEFL/ IELTS/iTEP/PTE.
  • Submit a proof of English Proficiency score. Student may choose to submit one of the following:

*Exempted Countries from English Proficiency Test score requirement: Antigua & Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda,Canada (except   Quebec), Fiji, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Kiribat, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, New Zealand, Solomon Island, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, United Kingdom. Students from these countries are exempted from english proficiency test score requirement. However; they must submit one of the standardized test score. Standardized test score can be ACT/SAT/TOEFL/IELTS/iTEP/PTE.

International Students who have attended college/university for a bachelor’s degree or diploma course after completion of Higher Secondary Education are considered as transfer for admissions. Even if you have attended college for one semester, you should apply as transfer undergraduate.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Complete Application form
  • Pay application fee of $35.00 online.
  • Submit a copy of high school transcript and diploma. JSU requires a minimum GPA of 2.0/4.0 (US Grading scale)
  • Submit official copy of college transcript in issuing institution’s sealed envelope. JSU requires a minimum GPA of 2.0/4.0 (US Grading scale)
  • Submit Course by Course evaluation report. The report should come directly from the evaluating companies. List of approved Credential Evaluators are listed below.
  • Submit a copy of passport
  • Submit a copy of financial document (financial statement and letter) stating a balance of at least $30,500
  • Submit a proof of English Proficiency score. See above table for acceptable scores.
  • Student must submit at least one of the standardized test score. See above table for the acceptable test score.
  • If you are a transfer from another U.S. institution, contact your International Student Advisor and submit a Transfer Clearance form.
