Directions

From 1-20, take the Anniston-Oxford exit (#185) to AL Hwy. 21 N. Proceed north through Anniston and Jacksonville (approximately 20 miles) to the intersection of AL Hwy 204 W. Turn left and follow “Inauguration” signs to Pete Mathews Coliseum.

From I-59, take exit #183 to US Hwy 431 S. Proceed south through Gadsden to the intersection of AL Hwy 204 E. (approximately 19 miles). Turn left on Hwy 204 and proceed east (approximately 10 miles) to Pete Mathews Coliseum.

Clear Bag Policy

JSU Athletics’ clear bag policy will be observed during the ceremony. 

Parking and Shuttle Service

Parking for the investiture ceremony is available on the north side of Pete Mathews Coliseum. Overflow parking is available in Paul Carpenter Village, just southeast of the Coliseum, as well as at the Houston Cole Library. Please note that the parking lot of Park Place Apartments adjacent to the Coliseum is privately owned; any non-resident cars parked in this lot will be towed. There will be reserved parking for delegates on the west end of the Coliseum.

Shuttle service will be available from the Houston Cole Library to the Coliseum beginning at 9 a.m. on inauguration day. Shuttle service will also be available from the Coliseum to Meehan Hall for the inauguration reception immediately following the ceremony. JSU faculty and staff attending the investiture ceremony and reception are encouraged to take the shuttle from the Houston Cole Library or carpool.
